Seriously, time flies whether you’re having fun or not, when you’re old. You go along doing your whatever it is that you do and noticing that spring is cool and wet and is a long time coming this year. And then, like suddenly, it’s May!
I have tomatoes and peppers started from seeds as usual. Some tomatoes are already too big to stay in my little indoor greenhouse, so they are on the porch. I move them to the edge during the day to get them in the sun so they’re already hardened off.

The ferns out back are loving this weather, bigger and prettier than most years.

So are the chicory plants in the lizard bed. In a while they will get their simple but beautiful blue flowers, Geyri’s best favorite after dandelions. And the chives in the other bed, they have flowers all over them.

Tomato row is ready to go; trellises up and cardboard laid on the ground to keep some weeds down. In a couple days I have to plant peppers and tomatoes started from seeds, weather or not, to get them out of their plastic pots. It’s been cool and rained every day for a week or so, so I sure can’t plant any seeds yet, for cukes, lima beans and cucamelons. Next week one day, hopefully.

Every gardening season has challenges, some more than others. It keeps a gardener guessing as to what challenges there will be this year. But on we go, glad to be able to do what we can, and hoping for the best.
Oh… it’s such a pleasure to see you’re back in business! I fully agree with you, “glad to be able to do what we can, and hoping for the best.”
Spring is such a wonderful time. There should only be 2 seasons in a year; spring and summer! š
I agree on the 2 seasons! But for that I, and you, live inthe wrong places!
I’m going to check Google Earth and find the best place… š
OK, when you find it, tell me where it is!
Deal…!! š
