I had to have this lovely 50 year old silver maple tree cut down last fall, cos it had a fungus disease that wasn’t treatable. It was still alive, but it was possible that it would have fallen on my house or garage, or, somebody. After it was cut down, we could see the whole interior had been destroyed by the fungus, so it was cut down at a good time.
But now, the tree says it still has life, and look at this. There is no way I would cut this growth off of there. We’ll see……………..
Wow! Nature never ceases to amaze me. That new growth looks pretty healthy.
It does, but I have a feeling it might not be able to make it thru the winter. But it will have its chance!
awesome… life finds a way =)
It does. Like the little walnut tree that a squirrel planted in a plastic pot and I transplanted into the ground, this will also be given its chance. If it makes it thru the winter it might get to be a tree again.
Great result.
I’m crossing my fingers.
