The animals are so glad to have food put out for them in the winter and especially in the snow. I had some rolls that were left from an office party and I had put bird seed on the ground. There were about a dozen doves there at first but I didn’t get the camera quick enough. The one dove and one squirrel and two beautiful blue jays stayed as I was taking the picture. And MaChatte was enjoying the show!

I have the same thing outside my window….hungry deer, birds, and squirrels. I try to give the a little something every day.
Isn’t it wonderful to be able to help take care of them Mary, and then we get to see them up close. I live in town so no deer, but lots of other little critters.
I love feeding the birds but my cat (even with a bell on) likes to feed ON the birds so I had to stop. I miss it 😦
Oh no! Cats are supposed to eat cat food, lol! Some neighbors probably feed the birds instead.
