My mother passed away on 5/23, after 87 years of adventure and a good life. She was tired and had suffered for several years before that, but tried to fight against that and did fight till just near the end.
She wrote some thoughts down when she had turned 70, and asked that this be read at her funeral. It should be meaningful to people of all ages, and I know she would be happy to have it shared with so many people now.
Such beautiful words of wisdom! Thank you for sharing this. 🙂
You’re welcome Jackie. She would be pleased that others got to read it at last.
Thank you for sharing such a heartwarming post. Your mother was a very wise woman.
That she was Herman. And this was so insightful that I felt the need to share it.
Your mother had a gift for writing!
Yes she did. I don’t believe anyone of than her pastor had ever seen this till her funeral.
Wow, your Mom’s so cool. You’re a very lucky lady.
She was pretty cool, Gregg.
I am sorry for your loss. My dad passed away 20 years ago and I still miss him. I lost my beloved aunt a year ago and I tear-up whenever I think of all the things I won’t be able to do with her. The only way to honor those we’ve loved and lost is to live well– for them….
Thank you. It’s so sad to lose those we love but sometimes it’s time, and it was her time, cos she was so sick for so long. I like your thought, to live well for them.
